A two-day review meeting with vice-chancellors and registrars of universities

Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, August 12 -
Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya stated that education is an investment that secures the future of society and individuals. Dattatraya was addressing Vice-Chancellors and Registrars of state universities on the first day of a two-day review meeting held at Raj Bhavan today.

He emphasised that the New Education Policy (NEP) will prove to be a game-changer for the Indian education system and expressed confidence that Haryana will have the honour of being the first state in the country to fully implement the NEP.

He further said that the scope of the NEP 2020 is vast and flexible, aiming to provide world-class quality and employment-oriented education to the youth within a set time frame. The meeting also discussed serious matters such as the swift implementation of the NEP across the state, ensuring transparent and merit-based recruitment against regular positions in universities, and the adoption of two villages by each university under the ‘Unnat Bharat Abhiyan’, the Governor added.
